Tens of thousands of professional runners and marathon enthusiasts joined the Standard Chartered Hong Kong Marathon 2025 amid the cold weather on Sunday morning.
As temperatures in the city dipped to as low as 11 degrees Celsius, 74,000 runners joined the marathon that featured five race categories: the Marathon, Half-Marathon, 10km, 10km Wheelchair Race, and 2.5km Wheelchair Trial.
As Hong Kong’s largest annual road race, the event attracts elite and amateur runners from around the world, promoting sports, community engagement, and inclusivity through dedicated wheelchair races.
