HONG KONG - Hong Kong activist Joshua Wong Chi-fung was sentenced to three months in jail on Monday following his conviction of contempt of court for flouting a ban on sharing information about police officers.

The High Court sent Wong to jail for breaching a court ban on disclosing personal information about a police officer who opened fire at a protest in Sai Wan Ho in 2019.

Wong attended the hearing but did not speak, a witness in the court said.
