A series of strong earthquakes with major ones measured at up to 7.6 magnitude have struck central Japan on Monday, with tsunami warnings issued. The temblor's epicenter was located in Ishikawa prefecture's Noto region.
At least 13 people were confirmed dead in Ishikawa, Japan's national news agency Kyodo reported on Tuesday, citing local authorities.
