The golden trumpet (tabebuia chrysantha), with its golden flowers resembling wind chimes, is known in Chinese as the "yellow-wind-chime wood". In the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, the golden trumpet typically blooms from March to April, lasting approximately two weeks. The tree has been tagged as an "internet celebrity" among visitors due to its popularity, as noted by the South China Botanical Garden, Chinese Academy of Sciences.

To further enhance the environment of Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA), the airport operator has established the Golden Trumpet Trail in Tung Chung, adjacent to the HKIA Historical Garden. Around 260 golden trumpet trees were planted, offering a stunning display of flowers, blanketing the area in a vivid golden hue.

China Daily's Andy Chong captured the scenery today.
