Travelers to Salar de Uyuni in Bolivia, the world’s largest salt flat, mark their journey with photos of blue sky reflected on the "world's largest natural mirror". Such gorgeous shots can also be achieved in Shenzhen at the Science Park in Guangming District (光明科学公园).

The photos of the "mirror of the sky" and other beautiful vistas from the park’s hilltop observatory deck – with a new wing recently added -- have been shared by K宝出逃计划 and 爱旅游更爱自由的Esther on Xiaohongshu, a social media platform similar to Instagram.

The hike to the top of the hill can be strenuous in the summer heat. Thankfully, a cafe is there to serve up cold drinks. It's also advisable to apply mosquito repellent beforehand.

How to get there via public transportation?

The south gate of the park is  about 800 meters away from two different metro stations: Exit A of Science Park Station (科学公园) or Exit B/C of Guangming Station (光明). Both are on Shenzhen Metro Line No 6.

Alternatively, you can walk 500 meters from Zhenmei Station (圳美), also on Line No 6, to the Guangming Zhenmei bus terminal (光明圳美总站), where a hiking trail starts.
